Kelly Ultrasound Center, LLC's medical director is Dr. Steven Gordin. Dr. Gordin is a radiologist. Dr. Gordin and his partner, Dr. Charles Parke, read vascular, OB/GYN, and general ultrasounds for Kelly. Both physicians are board-certified.
Dr. Gordin, oversees Kelly’s protocols, procedures, and regulatory compliance in his field of expertise. In addition, he gives advice on the medical management of our practice and helps keep us abreast of current medical issues, trends, and potential legislation that might impact sonography. Drs. Gordin and Parke have served Kelly Ultrasound Center well over the years!
Dr. Stephen Gordin, MD
Stephen J. Gordin, MD is a practicing Diagnostic Radiologist in Campobello, SC. Dr. Gordin graduated from the University of South Carolina and received his MD from the Medical University of South Carolina. Following his internship in internal medicine at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, he completed his diagnostic radiology residency at West Virginia University and his fellowship in neuropathology at the University of Pittsburg. Dr. Gordin has been in private practice since 1993. He is board certified by the American Board of Radiology and has a certificate of added qualification in Neuroradiology.
His professional interests are varied but include body imaging and neuro/MSK MRI. In his free time, Dr. Gordin is an avid musician, writer, and runner, and enjoys spending time with his wife, Sandy, and daughter, Debby.
Dr. Michael Illovsky, MD, FACC
Michael Illovsky, MD, FACC is the CEO and founder of Advanced Cardiac Diagnostics, a leader in the field of telecardiology. He is a Board Certified Invasive Cardiologist with over eighteen years of cardiology experience with a focus on cardiac imaging.
Dr. Illovsky Graduated from Georgetown University School of Medical School in 1991. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Naval Hospital San Diego and completed his Cardiology Fellowship at Bethesda Naval Hospital. He is well rounded in all aspects of cardiology. He served 20 years in the US Navy, retiring as a Captain. He served as chief of Cardiology & Internal Medicine at Naval Hospital Jacksonville. His last military assignment was as Chief of Cardiology for Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii.
Dr. Charles Parke, MD
Dr. Charles Parke earned an undergraduate Chemistry degree and Doctor of Medicine with Distinction from The University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, finishing in 1988. He completed his diagnostic radiology residency at The University of Alabama-Birmingham Hospitals in 1992 and went on to complete a Fellowship in Abdominal Imaging at The University of Pittsburgh Hospital System. There, he also received additional training in musculoskeletal MRI. Dr. Parke has been in private practice since 1993 in Greenville SC and the Upstate region, including ten years of practice at St Francis Hospital System, before concentrating on outpatient radiology for the last ten years. He is board certified by the American Board of Radiology.
His professional interests are varied but emphasize musculoskeletal and abdominal imaging with additional skills in neuro/spine imaging. Keeping up with his two college-age children is a favorite past-time, while also enjoying sports of all kinds, particularly golf, tennis, and baseball.
Dr. Charles Schwartz, MD
Charles Schwartz, MD earned a BA undergraduate degree at New York University in 1976. He went to SUNY-Downstate Health Sciences Center at Brooklyn where he earned his MD degree in 1980. Dr. Schwartz then completed a 3-year residency in Internal Medicine in 1983 and completed his Cardiology Fellowship in 1985.
Dr. Schwartz is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, and Echocardiography. He currently is in private cardiology practice in Staten Island, NY. He serves as the medical director of two IAC accredited echocardiography labs (Staten Island University Hospital-North Campus, and Staten Island Heart, PC).
Dr. Eugene Schwarz, MD, FACC
Licensed in several states across the southeast, Dr. Eugene Schwarz presently interprets echocardiograms and vascular studies, electrocardiographic monitoring, nuclear cardiac studies, etc. for many hospitals and practices. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. He completed his Cardiology fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic and has practiced interventional cardiology in Columbia for many years. Dr. Schwarz is a SHAPE certified Heart Attack Prevention Specialist and a member of the SHAPE society (Society for Heart Attack Prevention and Education). Dr. Schwarz has a special interest in Carotid Intimal Medial Thickness studies
